Two
top-quality craftsmen from Kyoto came to Tokyo to create a traditional Tea
Ceremony House in a modern business building.
The carpenters are specialized for "Sukiya," which is an authentic
method for Japanese traditional architecture. They do not use nails, but
joint woods with handcrafts.
Since Japanese people rather live in modern houses nowadays, "Sukiya
method " has been becoming a "dying tradition." |
